HEARTSAVER PEDIATRIC FIRST AID CPR AED Certification Course

The Heartsaver PEDIATRIC FIRST AID CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Includes:
- The Heartsaver CPR AED online portion, which has the online student manual. You will need to take the optional child and infant modules
- In-person skills check
- Your AHA Heartsaver FIRST AID CPR AED card with child and infant
Who should take this course?
The AHA’s Heartsaver FIRST AID CPR AED + Pediatrics course, including the optional child and infant modules, is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. This course covers Child, and Infant topics.
This class covers the following:
- How to give high-quality CPR improves survival
- Explains the concepts of the Chain of Survival
- How to recognize when someone needs CPR
- How to perform high-quality CPR for child, and infant
- How to perform CPR with help from others
- How to give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
- How to use an AED on a child and infant
Upon completion you will receive an email from the American Heart Association with your valid 2 year certificate.
